RYAN HERRICK (Sagitta EP RELEASE)
Inspired by the raw, visceral power in traditional Delta blues and Appalachian folk music, RYAN HERRICK allows his music to merge from within. His soulful songs express his passionate belief in human unity and the interconnectedness of all things with a percussive blend of rock, folk-blues, Celtic, and Indian raga.
“Sagitta” was recorded nearly live, all in one day on Earth Day 2017. The music and lyrics on this record are a new step in songwriting for Ryan– taking a much more direct and intimate approach while working with a band to produce a fully fleshed-out sound. Many of the songs are political; touching upon issues of Native American rights, the destructive fossil fuel industry, and political disillusionment. Spirituality remains a lyrical focus and driving force behind his music– speaking about challenges we all face as we grow and change inwardly, as well as the sacredness of all living things.
WES JOHN CICHOSZ began playing on the Chicago club scene at age 15 with a variety of jazz and rock acts. Shortly thereafter he received a full scholarship to University of Illinois at Chicago where he won the prestigious Bar Association Music Award. During this time he also had the opportunity to play in the orchestra for the lost Duke Ellington musical, Jump for Joy.
Acoustic folk/pop artist LIZ COYLES is about as fast a rising star as they come – the first-prize winner of two music talent competitions, opening for several well-known artists and her first original song, “Butterflies,” being featured in the hit television show Degrassi: The Next Generation are pretty strong accomplishments in less than a year for this singer/songwriter hailing from London, ON
